UPDATE: 2025 Outstanding Chapter Award Winners!


Every summer, during the Phi Sigma Kappa National Shonk Leadership School session, our Grand Chapter dedicates special time to recognizing the achievements of individual chapters across the country. Despite a large number of nominations, only a select few chapters receive this esteemed recognition. Among the recognized chapters, most are acknowledged for accomplishments in only one or maybe two categories. However, since our chartering on October 7, 1967, the Pi Pentaton chapter at NIU has consistently demonstrated excellence, earning multiple awards across various categories each year. It is a remarkable feat that our chapter has remained active and recognized on NIU's campus for almost 60 continuous years, without ever closing. This makes us the only IFC chapter at NIU to achieve such a distinction. We take great pride in sharing with you the following list of awards we have proudly earned many times over the years.
